23.3.9 is the last version! Therefore it stops. It is the current appliance version! And I assume that there will be no 24.x version for the appliance .

However, rpm is slightly different.

Hello Sebastijan, both versions SHOULD be the same. However, I do not know the code..

And there will be support for both versions in the same way so far. That's the promise!

Hi Sebastian, as mentioned above we hope both versions do the same, have the same features and the same power (but maybe different bugs?).

The new path is rpm and some day we should consider to migrate from appliance to rpm version because appliance  deployment will be stopped. Nevertheless, if you check the current appliance version, then you see that devs have changed the directory structure in the background. That is already one of the steps to use the same structure for appliance and rpm versions.

A short feedback from a meeting with development

Rpm versions are on 24.x,
appliances stay on 23.3.x

However, both smg will do they same and have the same features.

As already mentioned appliances will run out of support in some time frame. Therefore, version number will not be "upgraded" to 24.x.
