Microfocus Filr als Speicherort hinzufügen (iPad)

Hallo an alle,

- ipad Pro 12,9, 5.Generation

- ipad OS 17.6.1

- Filr App Version 24.2

I have just seen the error in the MP4, the Filr icon is missing under location in my iOS. Can you please describe which tasks were necessary to configure the Filr link under Location? Thank you

The problem with Filr was between the ears. The solution - Edit sidebar in the File app on iOS. Ashes on my head ;-)

sorry, but my FILR App and also the open / save window from Word looks different.

    What must I do?

The procedure for iOS 17.x will be similar to that for iOS 18.x. In the File app, click on “Edit” in the menu and then show the desired storage locations.

    I have finally found it:

The setting does not have to be made in the FILR app, but in the ios “Files” app.

There, under “Edit sidebar”, you can set which storage locations should be displayed.

Opening a FILR file via a third-party app (e.g. Word) now works. Unfortunately, this is complicated, as the “Files app” must first be selected under “Other storage locations”, then “FILR”, then “My files”, and only then do I get to my actual directory.

This path must be followed every time a file is opened. The path is not saved, not even under “History” or “Recently used folders”.

Saving also causes problems: The file is not saved over after editing, but a new file is created with the addition “[my name] conflicting copy 2024-10-08”.  The file is not opened anywhere else (!).

I have therefore checked how FILR behaves on an Android device. There, opening a (e.g.) Word file works without any problems, but saving (also) does not work at all:

“FILR” is not shown as a save location in ‘Save as’ :-(

Any ideas on how to make saving to the FILR directory possible on Android?

The iOS is in version 17.x, the Filr runs on 24.2 as far as I can see. I don't have access to either version to be able to make a qualified statement about the differences. But I think a first solution has been found. Regarding Android, please create a new post so that a unified discussion can be had.
