Suddenly: A network error occurred testing the connection (Netfolder Server/ OES)

All appeared to be normal 8 hours ago - no user complaints. 

Today, no netfolder icon on the left side of the screen. In the admin console net folders do not connect with any preexisting and operational proxy user or admin. Any troubleshooting tips?
