Knowledge Document: ControlPoint - Use MD5 Hash to verify Redundant files from Database

Files are flagged as redundant if they are duplicates. Controlpoint generates a unique MD5 hash for each file ingested and then uses this to identify file as duplicates of a master. A master file is typically the oldest original file and all other files with the same hash generated are deemed duplicates. So, if the files are being flagged as duplicates then the hash should be checked.
