Situation

Eduction was enabled during repository ingestion. Afterwards it was observed that it was very slow to access advanced properties for specific documents ingested via ControlPoint. Why is this?

Resolution

Some of the documents may contain a large amount of sensitive information (for example a long list of banking numbers) and these will be captured by ControlPoint during ingestion if the relevant grammars were selected during ingestion. When you access Advanced Properties this entire list of captured eduction values is displayed. This is why it can be slow for some docs if they contain more sensitive information than others since the list may be much longer.

Incident OCTIM57C93020 had been raised to request that the ControlPoint UI is enhanced to better handle long lists of eduction grammars when accessing advanced properties.
