Repository Metrics Report

We have a decent number of repositories and the business is requesting metrics like the analyzed file count/volume, duplicate counts/volume and Tagged Counts/Volume.  If we want to get more real time with these metrics and make it presentable to non-CP users, I wanted to create a SQL report to add to the out of the box reports. I think i would base it on the Repository History Report - but just a list of all the current Repositories with those metrics.  Has anyone created something like this before or know why I should stop looking into it?
