Users who frequently search for records by Title Word or Notes Word with Boolean criteria must ensure that the Advanced Search checkbox is checked.

Environment

Content Manager Client, ver. 10.1 - 23.4

Situation

Release 10.1 introduced SQL full-text indexing to substantially improve performance. Refer to the SQL Text Indexing in Content Manager whitepaper for details.

With this change, if a search includes any Boolean expressions (e.g., AND, OR, NOT, and NEAR) then users must check the “Advanced word search” checkbox, which is unchecked by default.
