Mysterious "Double" enter On Quick Search

Hello All!

CM 24.4

Has anyone noticed the "double enter key" needed when entering values in the quick search?  Select a search method, type in your criteria, press enter.. nothing happens, press enter again, search executes!  A client advised me about it, I tested on both Record Number Search and Title word search and can confirm.  Can anyone else shed light?  Prove me wrong?
