Hello all!

I was messing around with Document Compare and came across very details instructions on how to compare two documents.  However, when I clicked further, that abiltiy was dependent on an external link.  When I looked that up, there was nothing specitic.  Does anyone know what compare tool they are referring to in the attached HELP FILE note?  Has anyone, Does anyone recomend a FREE Compare tool I could setup with CM 23/24?  I tried WinMerge but that doesn't seem to access the revisions as I can only send one docuemnt to it.  Thanks All!  I include the Help file info here:

Using the document comparison tool

1. In Content Manager and Content Manager Desktop, right-click the record whose document or revisions you want to compare, and select Electronic, then Compare Document.

   It is not supported for the Content Manager Web clients.

   The command will be available on a record if the record has an electronic document attached and if the user has access to view the electronic document.

   The Compare With dialogue appears.

   • Compare with normal variations on this document - select a revision of the selected document to compare with
   • Compare with a selected record - select a document on a different record to compare with
   • Compare with a selected external document - select a document from your computer or network to compare with
2. Click OK to open the document comparison tool.

3. Once you have opened your comparison tool, use the tool to compare the selected documents.

   If you want to modify one of the documents, check out the document you want to modify, make the changes and then check it back in.
