Knowledge Document: Vmware Client Backups runs into timeout in DP 24.4

"VEAGENTDisk" finishes successful, but "VEAGENT" hangs after having backed up exactly 1KB of the "config" and then runs into the defined timeout.

Environment

DP version of Cell Manager: 24.3

DP version of Media Agent: 24.3

OS version of Cell Manager: Windows Server 2016

OS version of Media Agent: Windows Server 2019

vSphere Client version: 7.0.3.01400


Situation

Backup is failing with the following error message :  
[Major] From: BSM@"CM Hostname" "Backup name"  Time: 18.09.2024 21:59:13
[61:1002]      The OB2BAR Backup DA named "Backup name" on host "Disk Agent Hostname"
    reached its inactivity timeout of 18000 seconds.
    The agent on host will be shutdown.
