Support Tip: Uninstall client components

In the client context of the GUI, by Right-clicking a client, it is possible to "Add Components...", also to "Delete...", which will remove the client completely. But there's no option to remove specific components.

The workaround is to use the ob2install command which runs installation, removal, upgrade, or installation check of the specified Data Protector components to/from/on a remote Linux and Windows systems using the specified Installation Server (this command is available on the Data Protector Installation Server).

Another way on windows would be to run setup.exe either from local install media or from a share on an Installation Server, e.g.

\\IntsallationServer.Domain\OmniBack\x8664\setup.exe

Both allow to "Modify" the client installation and add or remove specific components.

On Linux/Unix, omnisetup.sh can be run from local install media.
