Two Way NDMP backup compatibility with ONTAP version 9.13

What is the reason why 2-way NDMP backup for DP 24.4 only support till version 9.11 (NetApp NAS) and not 9.13, what is the change? Based on customer NDMP solution, it NDMP backup continue to work, or it will break? Any workaround?
