We are also announcing that current DP Reporting Server (RS) is going out of business. Binaries currently shipped with every Data Protector image will be removed starting with DP 24.

As an alternative to RS we have decided moving on with OpenText Magellan BI & Reporting. This has been advertised a while ago but the launch of DP 24.4 will be the cutover-point for Data Protector reporting. Magellan comes with a set of reports tailored for DP addressing the most important information you want to get from enterprise backup.

Therefore if you go to download portal must be able to download Magellan binaries and install it, from my point of view is so much better than RS, you have all details here.

What ? We bought licence for reporting server last summer. What we could do with that licence now ?

The RS license that you bought is atomically switched for Magellan Server license, this is a different report engine that provide to you exactly the same feature. In fact is more powerful than RS.
