Schedule optimalization

I want to ask if there are any tool for helping optimalizating schedule in DP. In our company we have planty of servers what we backup weekly but amounth of data is rising. We don`t have problem with backup store, but with time for copy from clients to backup store. If there start too many backups in same time it slow down. With big amount of clients is schedule a bit mess. Anyway I have all backups written in excel spread sheet, where I have at least some overview. Doe`s have DP some tool for this ? Maybe in future it could use AI for automatic optimalization of schedule-just idea for developers.

Not sure what DP version and which license type you are using?! If you have a Premium license then the Reporting Server is included and on top of what Sandro just said, also that can help you to get more insights into backup activity. It also provides performance and runtime information that can be used to finetune your schedules. And yes, it would also show you a consolidated view and you don’t need an Excel spreadsheet to do that.

We are also working on the Magellan BI and Reporting Integration. This will become better and get more reports in future versions.

I'm not aware of current plans, but I'm assuming AI may start to play a role in this area in the future. And as already explained by Sandro, any ideas are very welcome on Idea Exchange.
