New Features for Retain Unified Archiving Provide a Competitive Edge

by in Portfolio

Micro Focus Retain continues to provide a single unified archiving solution for all business communications. From emails to mobile communications, Retain enables efficient and effective management of enterprise message retention.

Retain’s recent update strengthens existing capabilities and expands its reach to access increasingly diverse communications ecosystems. All Retain users can be configured to access the solution using multi-factor authentication (MFA) through integration with NetIQ Advanced Authentication and LDAP address book service. In conjunction with MFA enhancements, list method control options have been expanded. Two new options allow exclusive use of the OpenID Connect buttons for Office 365 and GSuite users. New SLES SP3 support secures access to critical systems. Read also "Retain 4.11 Now Released!".

The newest version includes a PST Export function built into the server which enables jobs to be broken up by user. New Worker Groups can be created and individual workers may be added to the group. When a job is created, it may be assigned to a group of workers to service the job, spreading the load across multiple works for better efficiency. Administrators can prevent Retain for archiving messages that include one or more addresses found in the Excluded Addresses list.

As working environments evolve, Retain is becoming more flexible to enable customers working from alternative endpoints. The Android Mobile Client has received updates to libraries and improved security. These improvements have been brought up to Google’s latest standards.

As we continue to adapt to meet customer demands, Retain remains the competitive messaging archiving solution for any enterprise.
