OpenText is pleased to announce the latest version of Hybrid Workspaces, v23.1. The latest release boasts some new features and functionality that can elevate your remote workforce management.
Hybrid Workspaces is the new Desktop Containers, bundling together Application Streaming Server, Application Hub, Repository, and Packaging Tool. It continues to provide organizations with the latest features allowing users to work from anywhere in a “Hybrid Workspace.” It also enhances the Application Streaming integration with your corporate network and storage providers for easy, secure access to data, enabling you to keep your devices secure as your remote users work. You can develop virtual application packaging for virtual application use locally and remotely through a web browser. Your team can work anytime, anywhere, and from any device for a consistent user experience and secure data access.
Let’s explore some of the new features in Hybrid Workspaces v23.1:
Hybrid Workspaces Application Streaming Server
With the latest release of Hybrid Workspaces, users now have support for storage integrations for network shares (SMB) and local file system folders. It supports per-user storage and shared read-only storage. Users may access their files from the Portal dashboard and the T: Drive.
The analyst user role now grants read-only permission for the administration site's Reports page. The administration site Reports now support search and filters.
Performance reports now show launch errors, Turbo for PC client launch performance, and additional launch details such as the Windows user and application server. A new server dashboard Operations table lists all Turbo service operations and their last known status. The new server dashboard alerts table lists important status alerts such as server health warnings. Additionally, the new server dashboard Pending and Recent Changes tables list server setting changes that have been saved but have not yet been applied to the server or have been applied to the server recently.
Further, workspace applications now support server assignments that restrict the application servers to which the application workload can be assigned based on server tags.
