On future of UFT ONE.

Hi , 

I was concerned about the UFT ONE future , as we know Microsoft will deprecate the vbscript completely in future . I was thinking what will happen to existing UFT scripts . Do we have to code them in some other language from beginning or do we may have backward compatibility support for the legacy codes. 

Also as you know newer tools are taking advantage of this uncertainty as people now thinking that uft may get obsolete as due to deprecation of VBSCRIPT.

My suggestion would be : provide long term support for legacy code for vbscript : like something which converts vbscript syntax to some pythonic compiler compatible code.

Or like introduce python module which gives you an option to code in python and vbscript .

    Hi Debdip, thank you for your concern. We’re aware of the coming changes concerning VBScript and for the foreseeable future there should be no effect on the UFT One work.

    Having said that, we're currently working on adding Python as a second coding language. All in all, we make sure our customers can keep on using their existing test scripts and furthermore, keep on using UFT One in even more effective and productive ways for many years ahead.
