It should be possible to spy context menus. Currently, when spying context menus (e.g.: in WPF applications), the context menu disappears when clicking it (of course the context menu itself is being opened while pressing the "Ctrl" key. Still when the context menu is already open and clicking it while spying (after leaving the "ctrl" key), the context menu disappears and it is not possible to spy the context menu). This is a known issue which exists also in UFT.

  • In Silk4J the object to be spied is selected by pressing Ctrl+Alt when the mouse is over the object, instead of clicking it. This works very well and may also be a solution to be implemented for UFT Developer.

  • I am struggling with trying to get the OIC to Spy on objects that only appear when you click - for example, on www.ebay.co.uk, click on the "All Categories" combo drop down to see the available categories. With Ctrl+Click, the Spy stops and shows the detail of the combo but not the child objects (ie the categories).

I think this is the same issue. If there is no workaround, this is quite a limitation.
