Problem:

Is it possible to disable the ability to configure an Alternate Working folder?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: StarTeam
  • Product Version: ALL
  • Product Component: Client
  • Platform/OS Version: ALL

Due to organisational security or working policies, StarTeam administrators may wish to disable alternate working folder functionality, such as when network drives are used for default working folders.

It is not currently possible to disable alternate working folder functionality in StarTeam. However, it is possible to disable changes to the default working folder for a given item. This is outlined in the following article:
