RTE Protocol - allow additional (newer) HostKeyAlgorithms for SSH Connection

Status: Declined

This is a limitation on vendor and not Load Runner.

See status update history

Due to increasing security demands, the allowed HostKeyAlgorithms on the target UNIX/Linux machines are restricted.

For example by adding the following line into sshd_config on the target machine.

HostKeyAlgorithms ecdsa-sha2-nistp256,ssh-ed25519

With this limitation, RTE Power Term is no longer able to connect via SSH.MicrosoftTeams-image.png

Since these HostkeyAlgorithms are working fine with other Terminal Emulators, like Putty, MobaXterm, Reflection Desktop, etc.
since more than 2 years already, these Algorithms should be supported by RTE Protocol / Ericom Powerterm as well.

This request is really urgent due to security demands.
