Script works on Windows Server 2016+LRE Host 2021r2; but receives errors when rebuilt with Windows server 2019. Error: Com error. CoCreateInstance CDBUserManager failed.

Environment

Windows Server 2019
.net framework 4.7
LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE) Host 2021r2
Tuxedo protocol

Situation

A given script works properly on Load Generator (LG) running with:

  • Windows Server 2016
  • .net Framework 3.5 & 4.7
  • LRE Host 2021r2 + patch 3

however, after installing a new server with:

  • Windows Server 2019
  • .net Framework 4.7
  • LRE Host 2021r2 + patch 3

Cause

The Tuxedo script requires the SOA_DBInterface.dll which is dependent on .net Framework 3.5.x.  As .net 3.5.x is not installed, the error will be seen on the LRE hosts server as Load Generators (LG) whenever the Tuxedo call is made.
