Data sheet mapping in UFT One fails after a naming convention change, affecting old tests.
UFT One 2023 and 23.4
After changing the naming convention for data sheets, UFT One doesn't map actions correctly with their data tables. This issue specifically affects older tests stored on ALM. In new tests using external actions, data sheets are mapped correctly.
The root cause of this issue is the change in the naming convention for data sheets, which now supports up to 31 characters. This truncates longer data sheet names, leading to mismatches between action names and data sheet names in old tests. If external actions are removed and re-added, the wrong data sheets are mapped, and removing actions also removes incorrect data sheets.
