New custom field added to ALM Defects screen doesn’t show in the MFConnect Type Mapping

Hi,

I have added a new custom field to the ALM Defects Module and would like to use it to sync the value updated in this field to JIRA bug. However, this new custom filed doesn’t show up in the list of available ALM fields in MF Connect.

This is strange as previously configured custom fields do show up in the list of available fields. Is there a delay between when the fields are newly created to when it shows up in MF Connect?

in the utilities folder, there is a folder called mfcPurge.bat.

(if you;ve never run it before, set it up to run as a nightly scheduled task)

Manage log files (microfocus.com)

nonetheless, select this .bat file, right mouse click, 'Run as Administrator'.

after it completes running, log back into mf connect,

your field will show up in the UI.

There is an MF Connect wide option the the Settings to flush the server cache. There's also an option per connection to update labels.

Especially the first will allow MF Connect to detect changed meta-data (like a new custom field) and make it available in the UI.

Purge, as mentioned by Anil, will also work and is strongly recommended to be executed regularly (at least weekly, for busy MF Connect instances nightly).

So, just to confirm the utilities folder and corresponding batch files are located in the installation folder where MFConnect is installed. In case of a SaaS version typically on the drive where Microfocus would have installed and hosted the MFConnect?
