MF Connect suitable for PPM with email integration for Outlook Calendars ?

Hi All.

I have following requirement in PPM(Project and Portfolio Management): when a resource is assigned to a task or a request need to be approved, the involved user must receive an appointment in its Outlook Calendar.

I'm aware that PPM is a supported EndPoint point for MF Connect. Furtrher, "email" can be an entry point for Non-Micro Focus products (see https://admhelp.microfocus.com/connect/en/4.0-4.4.2/Online/Content/Topics/system-requirements.htm )

Do you have guideline vs example to address previous requirements ? From the documentation I'm not able to understand if MF Connect can be used or not.

Best Regards, Silvio

    Hi Silvio.

This is not a scenario that MF Connect support. It is also not planned to support anything like this.
What you describe is what we categorize as an event-based integration: event trigger->some automation happens
MF Connect however is currently focusing exclusively on synchronization-based integration: keeping items in two endpoint "in-sync" by constantly transfering changes back and forth.

The MF Connect email connector is an inbound-only connector.
It does not send email, but receive them and is then able to create new items in the other endpoint from the email content.

    Best Regards,
    Dom.
