Aside from its new name, this release is packed with enhancements designed to enhance the overall testing experience, making it more robust and user-friendly.
So, what’s new in OpenText Functional Testing Lab for Mobile and Web?
Video recording
- Record videos for manual, Appium, and Selenium tests by adding the video capability to your script.
- Ensure video recording is enabled in the Administration settings for seamless integration.
Test results
- Enhance your ability to analyze and improve testing processes by accessing the Results tab to view metadata of test sessions and downloading videos and logs of past tests.
Development
- Improve development workflows by connecting hosted private devices to your IDE for development and debugging, allowing remote control.
Device access
- Streamline your testing processes with the ability to transfer files to or from a cloud browser using the Selenium solution for Remote WebDriver.
Cloud expansion
- Expand your testing infrastructure when you utilize cloud browsers in Sydney, in addition to Oregon and Frankfurt. You can also host locally in Australia, not only for browsers.
Network support
- Ensure compatibility with modern network configurations with support for environments using IPv6 addresses.
iOS and new versions support
- Broaden compatibility across different environments with support for iOS 17 on RHEL connectors, and iOS 17.4 on Windows connectors.
- Test on iOS 18 and Android 15, with the embedded Appium v2 server upgraded to version 2.11.3.
- Install servers and connectors on RHEL version 9.4 and Ubuntu version 24.04.
Security and permissions
- Ensure better management and security when you control user permissions to prevent unauthorized app uploads to shared assets.
