Aside from its new name, this release is packed with enhancements designed to enhance the overall testing experience, making it more robust and user-friendly.

AI-based testing enhancements

• Leverage the ever-expanding capabilities of AI-based Object Detection, which has exited Technical Preview status and is now fully supported.
• Write AI-based tests in .NET C# in addition to JavaScript and Java.
• Enhance flexibility and accuracy with an additional OCR engine within AI-based Web tests for improved text recognition. 

.NET updates

• Expand your testing environments when you develop and run .NET C# tests on Linux machines, including Docker containers.
• Upgrade your projects to .NET 8 with new project templates for Visual Studio 2022. 

Terminal emulator enhancements

• Identify and validate the color and background color of text on terminal emulator monitors using the TE Field Color and BackgroundColor properties. 

Installation and licensing updates

• Enhance security and flexibility by connecting to the license server using a proxy for in the Functional Testing License Wizard. 

Supported technology versions

• Discontinued support for .NET 5 and older .NET Framework versions (4.5, 4.6, 4.7), focusing on more current technologies.
