Migrated ALM Azure to On-prem

Hello,

I am running ALM Version 15.00.857. This has been migrated from Azure in the last few weeks.

I have restored the DBs and I can access the siteadmin portal.

I have having an issue with getting access into the projects and domains. The main issue seems to be SQL access. We are increasingly hitting a brick wall when we try and ping or edit the connection string on any of the projects, this being the error - "Login failed for user 'td'. Reason: Password did not match that for the login provided.". We have tried resetting passwords etc, but this is the error we always get.

In DB Servers the "ping finished successfully" message is OK on the database string.

I am at a complete loss with this, we have inherited this application and it's a best endeavors at the moment to get it up and running.

Any pointers would be great on where exactly I can start to try and get this resolved

    Did you try to change the password in ALM side? Site admin->Site projects tab->domain_name->project_name select "DB user Password" link under Project details tab.

    I have tried resetting the password everywhere that I can think of or find. Even when I setup a new domain and try and create a project, I get the below.

    On checking the SQL logs, it gives the same message ""Login failed for user 'td'. Reason: Password did not match that for the login provided.". "

    I have tried going in seeing what happens if I try and repair a project, I get "Can not access database of project. Abort task". and if I check the SQL logs it shows " ""Login failed for user 'td'. Reason: Password did not match that for the login provided.". ""

    It seems all the issues stem around this TD account

    Sorry one last thing is. On the DB servers tab I have two database servers. The new and the old. I point ed the old one to the new connection string the ping to both of them work

    Please log a support case if you can and give me the id, which can help us trouble shoot more quickly.

    You can do the following to do further investigation:

    1. create a new project on the same database as the project with problem and i hope there is no issue on this project
    2. go to the projects table in the SA schema, there are projects connection string and DB user/schema password(hashed), in which you can easily tell the diff between normal projects and problematic projects.

    let me know your findings.
