Knowledge Doc: Unable to Connect to ALM Server error from Excel Add In

Environment

ALM supported versions
Microsoft Excel Add-In
 

Situation

When trying to connect to ALM from Excel Add-in, after entering the URL, received the error "Unable to Connect to ALM Server."

In the excel add in log, we see the following error

Could not load file or assembly 'SharedLoginModule, version=2.0.0.6, Culture=neutral, PublickeyToken=79284334cf0407a' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorret format.

Even when the correct version of the Excel Add-in is installed according to the Excel version (64bit or 86bit)
