Unable to Connect to QC ALM - Authentication Error

Description:

We are currently unable to connect to QC ALM. When attempting to log in, the following error message appears:

"Failed to login. Please contact system administrator for help. Description: Authentication failed. Verify your username and password."

This error occurs even though the username and password provided are confirmed to be correct.

Possible Cause:

It’s possible that there has been another migration and that we may need to use a new URL.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open QC ALM.

  2. Enter the verified credentials.

  3. Attempt to log in.

  4. Observe the error message above.

Expected Result:

Users should be able to log in to QC ALM using verified credentials without encountering an authentication error.

Actual Result:

Login fails with an "Authentication failed" error, despite using the correct credentials.

Request:

Please investigate if recent changes or migrations have affected QC ALM's authentication setup, and provide a resolution to restore access.

    Hello Sergio,

Could you confirm your authentication type? Is it native authentication or an external method, such as SSO or LDAP?

    Best regards,

    Bernal.
