jdk validation failed error while installiing ALM 24.1

I'm upgrading from ALM 16 to 24.1 which has openJDK 8 installed. While installing ALM 24.1, I receive error which says jdk validation failed. Is it because I'm using openJDK 8? Does ALM 24.1 need openJDK 17 and doesnt support openJDK 8?

Is there a parameter or a configuration to turn off this jdk validation? I checked the validation file in setup and it doesnt have the parameter for JDK validation.
