View server not highlighting terms in powerpoint files

When viewing powerpoint file through view server with highlighting, it renders the HTML converted ppt as an image without the terms being highlighted. View server seems to be sending action=highlight to IDOL, but passing the base64 encoded image as text. Shouldn't view server highlight the terms before the image is created? Any thoughts or pointers?
