We are pleased to announce the release of NetIQ File Dynamics 6.6, now available from April 27, 2023. This new release introduces a new web framework, Data Owner management tools within the framework, policy performance enhancements, OpenText branding, and bug fixes.

New Web Framework

New Web Framework: A new web framework sets the stage for greatly expanding the capabilities of the product, enabling new and enhanced features, better user experiences, and integrations with other products.

Data Owner Management

Leveraging the new web framework, data owners now have the option to use a web browser to perform data owner tasks including viewing security notifications, generating reports, disabling and enabling a policy, and using workload jobs to perform remediation. This interface can also be used by system administrators to inject workloads for automation of data disposal, reassignment, and restructuring.

Policy Performance Enhancements

Both Identity- and Target-Driven code was meticulously reviewed and streamlined, resulting in significant performance improvements, and laying the groundwork for future expansion.

OpenText Branding

OpenText branding is featured throughout the product interface.

Bug Fixes

A number of bugs were fixed. For details, see the product Release Notes.

The Standard Delivery method for our software is electronic. New orders receive a link via email where the software can be downloaded, which is specific to the order.
