We are pleased to announce a new release of NetIQ Identity Governance. As a key component of our Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solution, Identity Governance helps organizations gain visibility into who has access to what, drive better access decisions, and demonstrate continuous compliance.

In addition to currency updates, this release aligns the on-premises version of Identity Governance with the current SaaS version, demonstrating our commitment to providing consistent capabilities to our customers regardless of their deployment choice. Updates include enhancements to access request and approval, role and governance policies, and performance and administration.

We have also released NetIQ Identity Manager 4.8.3 and eDirectory 9.2.4. Both are service packs with bug fixes, security updates and OS support.

• Advanced search and improved end user and administration views in IGA access request and approvals

• Request status monitoring and administration
• Delegation refinements and the ability for individual users to set delegates for access reviews and certifications
• Custom interface for mapping approval routing via coverage maps in review items and access requests
• Ability to import and export request and approval policies

Role and Governance Policies

• Delegated technical role administration and technical role catalog view
• Refinement of application owner scope of influence
• Ability to assign separation of duties (SoD) policies across business roles
• Improved role mining and role detection with role hierarchy options

 Performance and Administration

• Performance tuning and optimization of data collection with large data sets
• Refinement of logging, audit and configuration settings
