sentinel 8.2 / 8.3 PatchCD download link

Hi All

    a customer has a sentinel 8.2 appliance need upgrade and no internet and suse manager could provide update channel.

I have 8.4 /8.5 patchCD...but no 8.2 or 8.3 PatchCD...

Who could kindly provide me patchCD for me to download them or I must create case to request them ??

    Yes Wencheng, for such requests you need to log a case with support services. I think you've done that already.


    As you said you have patch iso images for 8.4, and 8.5 already. My colleague will organize it for 8.2, and 8.3.

    Not sure why you need 8.2, while you're running Sentinel 8.2 appliance.


    Now if your customer has a Sentinel 8.2 appliance, and they want to upgrade all the way to 8.5, you can do that from Sentinel 8.2.
    This is supported:
    www.microfocus.com/.../s85-release-notes.html

    -> You can upgrade to Sentinel 8.5 from any prior versions of Sentinel (from Sentinel 8.2 and later).


    That said if you get conflict errors, it is advisable to go to 8.3, and 8.4 first, and then to 8.5.

    We covered these steps extensively in the past, so you know what to do.

    Hi Henk

        I install a "fresh" sentinel 8.2.0 appliance server for testing online update channel.

    the OS is SLES12 Sp3 but the update channel provide patch for SLES12SP5...

    so it show the patch conflict VABASE

    I guess the online update seem only for sentinel 8.4 appliance update ...not for old version appliance 

    I should be use offline patch CD for let 8.2 upgrade to 8.3 or 8.4 then using offline/online update to 8.5.
