A best practice of many customers is to make a clean break from existing GPOs when Microsoft introduces a new OS version. This involves physically defining GPOs by Windows OS version.

We are considering creating Group Policy Administrator WMI filter 'templates' that are defined for individual Microsoft OS versions. GPA can provide scripts/UI options to link single and bulk GPOs into a WMI filter that is defined for the specific OS version. Once the GPOs are linked, the console would list the GPOs under the WMI filter to understand those GPOs that apply to a single OS.

Additional input regarding this idea is welcomed.
