The Policy Editor communicates with the agent every 10 minutes by
default. When you update a policy it will take 10 minutes for the agent
to receive the update by this default timer. This is a timer that is
displayed during installation of the agent. When the agent receives an
event it takes the agent roughly 2.5 mins to capture all events within a
default timeframe to send them to the server for display. If you have

You can configure the interval that an agent checks for new monitoring
policies by modifying the following registry key on the monitored
server:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NetIQ\ChangeGuardian\centralConfigInterval

This setting is the number of minutes (minimum 1) between heartbeats
plus or minus one third of the configured value. So for example, If I
set the value to 9 minutes the agent will check for new policies at a
random time between 6 to 12 minutes.
