- NetIQ Identity Manager (IDM) 4.8.7 Active Directory driver SHIM and Remote Loader
- Active Directory Driver SHIM on Red Hat 8.7 server, and Active Directory Remote Loader on Active Directory Windows 2019 Domain Controller

Situation

The NetIQ IDM remote loader occasionally disconnects from the NetIQ Active Directory SHIM used for synchronizing passwords. Password changes stop synchronizing between Active Directory and the IDM Vault.

After setting the Active Directory SHIM and Active Directory Remote Loader logs to a trace level of 5 and looking at the logs produced, the following error, among others are seen in the log. This error seems to be the most relevant to the situation after eliminating the other possibilities:: Code(-9076) Unhandled error in event loop: com.novell.nds.dirxml.engine.VRDException: Code(-9006) The driver returned a "retry" status indicating that the operation should be retried later
