Userapplication ./configupdate.sh error saving configuration 4.8.5

Hi,

we have 2 identical sles 15 sp6 and installed UserApp wie bundleinstaller to 4.8.5.

One server is properly working, the other is unable to save config values after hiting ok in configupdate.sh

Im able to connect to eDir in configupdate after setting every parameter manually. Only the UserApplication page is empty.
When trying to manually enter the missing parameters in ism-properties i do get a few values filled in my configupdate, but still the same errormessage.

I tried adjusting certs, checking eDir and schemas, file permittions..

Could this be caused by a broken eDir?

    I would double check certificates in the keystores for the non-working machine. The crypto error could mean two things. Either the SSL connection to eDir is not working.  Or the way the email passwords are encrypted is not decrypting properly.  That would make some sense if there was IDM 4.9 involved, which changes the way the email passwords are stored.  But not if it is IDM 4.8.5.  Any chance you have configupdate from the wrong version?

    We did use the bundle installer to get to 4.8.5. So there could only be configupdate of 4.8 or 4.8.5, or am i mistaken?

    Tried the uaconfig.jar mentioned for a similiar problem also. No luck so far.

    Connection to eDir should be fine, since i can search my eDir in configupdate .

    I was hearing about the following workaround: 
    SLES15SP1 -> Install + Config -> patch to SP6. Unfortunatly customer can not provide sp1.

    If it was truely email password encryption/decryption, is this set somewhere in the email templates?
