NFR 2.6 Volume SYS is missing

Hello we installed NFR 2.6 fresh on a Windows 2012 R2 Server, everything looks good, except one Volume (SYS) is missing.
Even a Rebuild did not helped.

SYS volume on what sort of server? NetWare or OES Linux?

Traget Server is an OES 11 SP2 Server (OES Linux, fully patched)
Missing Sys Volume is an NSS volume.

One VOlume in this case Volume 6 cannot be scanned

Error is "The scheduled data scan for storage path \\WIBO\VOL6 (Scan ID 3) was unable to complete. The following error occurred: (127) The specified file or directory name is invalid. Maximum number of tries for this scan exceeded. Giving up. "

Check the ncs attributes for the volume, I had a similar issue with nsm and found a TID for kanaka that solved it.

Hi,
NCS atrributes is not set on any of the volume, even the volumes that are working under nfr do nat have the ncs attributes. Ther is no cluster running

On OES, SYS isn't an NSS volume. It's an NCP volume that points to a
local Linux path. NFR does not support scanning this type of volume.
In fact, you won't even see the SYS as a target volume to scan.

Hi jmarton,

you are right, but in our case ist is an NSS Volume, we modified the ncpserv.conf and the volume Sys is an NSS Volume.

snip from mount:


SYS on /media/nss/SYS type nssvol (rw,name=SYS)
VOL1 on /media/nss/VOL1 type nssvol (rw,name=VOL1)
VOL2 on /media/nss/VOL2 type nssvol (rw,name=VOL2)
VOL3 on /media/nss/VOL3 type nssvol (rw,name=VOL3)
VOL4 on /media/nss/VOL4 type nssvol (rw,name=VOL4)
VOL5 on /media/nss/VOL5 type nssvol (rw,name=VOL5)
VOL6 on /media/nss/VOL6 type nssvol (rw,name=VOL6)
