Knowledge Document: WI - Error code 403 appears when Login Macro Recorder accesses login page

Login Macro Recorder fails to load login page with an error code 403.

Environment

Fortify WebInspect (WI) 24.2

 

Situation

Upgrading WebInspect to version 24.2 from version 23.2 could result login macros to stop working on some sites with a "403 Forbidden" error.

 

Cause

One possible cause for this is that the Macro Recorder is setting network.http.proxy.version to http/1.0 instead of the default http/1.1 for modern browsers which prevents the Macro Recorder from loading the content of login page in some cases.
