Knowledge Document: Zombie processes do not allow the runagentsetup of a Connector to run properly

A workaround is presented on how to find zombie processes that may be blocking the execution of the runagentsetup script of a Connector

Environment

ArcSight SmartConnector (Connector) 8.X.X 

Situation

When executing the runagentsetup script of a Connector, the script ends abruptly with an error similar to what is shown in The runagentsetup executable gets hung up and does not show any options.

On the agentsetup.log files, messages like the ones below may be displayed for the primary and secondary remote management ports: 

[ERROR][com.arcsight.d.a.i] [login]Couldn't login [https://localhost:10001/cwsapi/services/v1]: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)
[ERROR][com.arcsight.d.a.i] [login]java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)
[ERROR][com.arcsight.d.a.i] [_apiGetCounterData]java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)
[ERROR][com.arcsight.d.a.i] [getCounterData]java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)
