Summary
In Logger appliance, when upgrading RHEL OS to be 7.8, after reboot the process insp can't be started. Stuck in "Not monitored" status

Products
ArcSight Logger

Environment
Logger Appliance Gen9

Situation
In Logger appliance, when upgrading RHEL OS to be 7.8, after reboot the process insp can't be started.

Cause
This is found to happen sometimes because during the perl RPM upgrade, it checks /usr/bin/ if there are perlxxxx files with ".original" extension in its name.

If it finds them, it skips them in error and doesn't create the required soft links (See above pic of .original files not soft-linked).

Thus, the perl installation is broken.
Although, checking the rpm command (rpm -qa | grep perl) you may still find the perl RPMs is/are installed
