please update vcenter support version

This should be handled through Technical Support.

Recently , Customer want to collect vCenter web event.

Now latest smart connecto version 's VMware Web Service still support vcentor 6.5

But now vCneter 6.5 almost EOL...7.x near end life....8.x has release more than 1 year.

In fact, the latest version indeed could connect vcenter8 server....but the debug log show it could not parse the received log.

Do the product team has schedule to update vcenter support version?

        Thanks yor information...I indeed had created a case #03000246 for this issue...

    and testing result , the latest version of smartconnector indeed could not process vcentor 8.x log...(it seem will drop log when log is not match parse method). support engineer help me to verify it.

    Now this issue has create a official CR and I have provide log for product team.

    Hello wencheng,

    As stated in our SmartConnector Parser Support Policy (in our Release Notes), there is a difference between "certified" and "supported". The last version we certified was 6.5. However, we support all newer version of this product.

    Please file a Technical Support ticket for this. They will walk you through how to get the appropriate log data.

    Please also note that I will be closing this Idea because it should be handled through Technical Support.

    Finally, please accept my apologies for this information getting to you so late. I frequently check this forum and somehow I missed this.

  • if need raw log...

    Who could kindly tell me , which location and log file name that I could download from vcentor appliance ??
