HP ArcSight product management announces a free Connector Appliance (ConApp) to HP ArcSight Management Center (ArcMC) 2.0 software exchange program, effective on July 17th 2014.

The program allows ConApp customers free migration to the new ArcMC 2.0 which includes all the functionality of ConApp keeping the same license entitlement. This is an optional program and customers can continue to use ConApp if they wish to do so.

Who can use this exchange program?

• ConApp software customers.
• ConApp CX400 and CX500 appliances customers. Appliance customers convert their existing appliance to an ArcMC appliance.

In both cases customers need to be under an active support contract.

Who cannot use the program?

• ConApp CX200 appliances are not eligible. Note that those appliances are nearing their end of life and customers should consider purchasing an appliance upgrade.
• ConApp bundled with ESM or ConApp which is part of ArcSight Express.

How does it work?

• To start the exchange process, contact your renewal sales person.
• The process is free and does not require a new license file, but requires an HP process to update our entitlement database and provide you with access to the ArcMC software on HP support portal.
• You can then add capacity or the new product management capabilities by purchasing ArcMC add-on licenses.

• Get the option to add enterprise level central management for ConApp, Logger, and ArcMC.
