The attached customer advisory summarizes the recently disclosed Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities in modern microprocessors, describes indirect impact to ArcSight products and recommedations for customer action.

ArcSight R&D is evaluating what needs to be done. There is not a published ETA at this time.

thanks for the heads up... the TL;DR of the pdf says - "We dont have a patch out" as per2018/01/11

does anybody know if R&D will update ESM6.9.1 HA (kernel) modules for RH 6.x as well?

Spectre/Meltdown Vulnerability fixes for Logger Appliance and Connector Hosting Appliance are now available as part of ADP 2.30 release.
