Access Manager Appliance Version 5.1 reports an XML validation error during proxy service configuration update after a custom authentication contract has been added

Environment

  • NetIQ Access Manager Version 5.1 Appliance (Single Box)

Situation

  • A new custom authentication contract has been added
  • The configuration update on adding the new contract has been executed on the IDP and Access Gateway without any errors / problems
  • Any subsequent configuration change on the Access Gateway fails while trying to run the update with an XML validation error:  
    Configuration update failed due to an XML validation error. To restore the last valid configuration, go to the Server Configuration panel and select Revert.
