Situation

A user connects using RDP to another machine, all methods using the device service are available. When the user ends the RDP session and logs out of the machine methods using device service are not available.

Below is an example of the sequence:
Workstation 1 connects to Workstation 2 via RDP. Before and during the RDP session, the user has access to LDAP+TOTP, and LDAP+Fingerprint chains.

However, once the RDP session ends and the user logs out of Workstation 2, if the user tries to log back in, only LDAP+TOTP chain is available.

Cause

The Windows application event logs will show the device service is crashing after disconnecting the RDP session from remote machine .
