NetIQ 6.4.2 issue with a PROXY Server

We have 4 x AA boxes configured to use a proxy server to send sms messages. These servers work fine through the proxy with Curl. However we get a name resolution error when trying to test the sms sender connection within the application. URRLIB errors are shown. Is there any specific configuration to setup the application for use with a proxy.
